New York City’s 5 real Tesla service centers are spread far wider than the five boroughs suggest. Tesla Service Brooklyn Gowanus (11215) is the only one actually inside NYC — there’s no Tesla service center in Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, or Staten Island. The rest ring the suburbs: Tesla Service Westbury (11590) and Tesla Service Smithtown-Long Island (11767) out on Long Island, and Tesla Service Westchester-Mt. Kisco (10549) and Tesla Service White Plains-Tarrytown (10607) up in Westchester County. If you’re in an outer borough without a nearby center, Brooklyn Gowanus is usually the closest option unless you’re willing to cross into Long Island or Westchester. SlotWatch lets you watch up to 3 of these at once, so you can cover Brooklyn plus whichever suburban center is actually on your commute instead of guessing which one opens up first.

New York City's 5 centers are spread across Brooklyn, Mount Kisco, Nesconset and Westbury, so availability varies a lot by location. Tesla's own advice is to check multiple centers and take whatever opens first — SlotWatch watches all of them at once so you don't have to. If you're also near Los Angeles, Orange County, or San Diego, we watch those Tesla service centers too. For the bigger picture on why Tesla service books out nationally, see our breakdown of Tesla service wait times — or for concrete tactics that can move your date up (not just watching New York City), read our guide on how to get an earlier Tesla service appointment. And if you're wondering whether an early or after-hours drop-off gets you seen sooner in New York City, it doesn't — here's why, and what actually works instead. Curious exactly why a New York City slot frees up in the first place? Here's how cancellation slots actually open up — and how fast they tend to get grabbed. Already have a New York City appointment booked? Tesla's app has its own free standby notification, but it only watches the single center you already booked — see how it compares to SlotWatch before deciding whether one center is enough or you'd rather cover all 5 New York City-area centers at once.

Frequently asked — New York City

Which Tesla service centers does SlotWatch watch in New York City?

SlotWatch can watch any of the 5 Tesla Service Centers in the New York City area — including Brooklyn Gowanus, Westchester-Mt. Kisco, Smithtown-Long Island, and more. You can monitor up to 3 of them at once on a single watch.

How quickly will I get the alert?

SlotWatch checks availability about every 5 minutes. When an earlier opening appears in your date range, we email you right away so you can reschedule in the Tesla app before it fills.

Do I need to connect my Tesla account?

No — you never connect your Tesla account and we never see your login. Just tell us which New York City service center to watch and where to email you. When an earlier slot opens, you reschedule it yourself in the Tesla app.

Why would an earlier appointment open up?

Tesla service in New York City is often booked weeks out, but people cancel and reschedule constantly — each time, an earlier slot briefly opens. SlotWatch catches those the moment they appear so you don't have to refresh the app.

Is there a free option?

The self-hosted version on GitHub is completely free and open source. The managed service is free to start — no card required: watch up to 3 centers at no charge, and pay a one-time $19 only if you choose to unlock the exact time of an opening we find at least 3 days before your current appointment. You never connect your Tesla login.

What counts as an earlier slot?

An opening at one of your watched centers at least 3 days before the appointment date you gave us. That’s the kind you can unlock: we email you which center and how many days sooner, and you choose whether to reveal the exact date and time for a one-time $19. Openings only 1–2 days earlier are always shown in full for free and never trigger the fee. A same-day slot at an earlier time doesn’t count.

What if I find a slot myself, or the slot is gone by the time I check?

You only pay if you choose to unlock an opening we found — finding one on your own costs nothing. Cancellations do get grabbed fast, so open the Tesla app the moment you unlock. If you unlock and the slot was already taken, email [email protected] within 7 days for a full refund; we keep watching either way.

When do I pay?

Only when we find you an earlier slot — and only if you choose to unlock it. Starting is free and needs no card. When an opening appears at least 3 days before your current appointment, we email you which center and how many days sooner. Unlock the exact date and time for a one-time $19; once unlocked, every alert for that watch arrives in full, no extra charge. Openings only 1–2 days earlier are always shown in full for free and never trigger the fee. If we never find one, you never pay.
